The Story Behind the Play of Hope Hall (I-HALL)
The opening of I-Hall marks a significant milestone in the journey of Play of Hope Uganda. What began as a small initiative focused on introducing young people to sport has grown into a structured program dedicated to developing talent, character, and opportunity through badminton.
Before the construction of the hall, training sessions were often held in shared or limited spaces. Despite these challenges, the passion of the athletes and the commitment of the coaches remained unwavering. The need for a dedicated facility became clear a safe and consistent environment where young players could train, grow, and dream without limitation.
Through determination, community support, and visionary leadership under BWF Level 2 Coach Annet Nakamya, the Play of Hope Hall was established. The facility is more than just a building; it is a symbol of progress, resilience, and belief in the potential of Uganda’s youth.
Today, the hall stands as a foundation for the next generation a place where discipline is cultivated, talent is refined, and futures are shaped. It represents Play of Hope’s long-term commitment to empowering young people not only in sport, but in life.
